    How is Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE different than Systane COMPLETE?

    Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE lubricant eye drop is a preservative-free formulation, suitable for frequent users and available in a multi-dose bottle with the PureFlow® technology.  Systane® COMPLETE is a preserved formulation suitable for occasional users, which contains a very small quantity of the preservative (POLYQUAD™ 0.001%). 

    Is Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE supposed to be milky white?

    Yes. Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE contains a nano-emulsion of mineral oil and phospholipids that give Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE its milky white appearance. Shake before use.

    What are the benefits of the nano-droplet technology in Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE?

    Alcon's unique nano-droplet technology allows for a better coverage of the moisturising agents over the entire eye surface. 

    Can you use Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE lubricant eye drops with contact lenses?

    Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE lubricant eye drops cannot be used while wearing contact lenses but can be used before wearing contact lenses and/or after removing contact lenses.

    How long does Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE last after opening?

    Systane® COMPLETE PRESERVATIVE-FREE 10mL bottle can be used for 3 months after opening, as long as the product has not expired. The 3mL sample size bottle can be used for 30 days after opening. Always check the label for the expiration date.

      Lubricant

       

      Inactive Ingredients
      Boric acid, dimyristoyl phosphatidylglycerol, hydroxypropyl guar, mineral oil, polyoxl 40 stearate, sorbitan tristearate, sorbitol and purified water. May contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.

      Safety

      For ocular use only.

       

      If solution changes color or becomes cloudy, do not use.

       

      To avoid contamination, never touch the dropper tip of the container to any surface. 

       

      Replace cap after using.

       

      Stop using and consult your eye care professional if you experience:

      • Persistent eye discomfort, 
      • Vision changes, 
      • Excessive tearing, 
      • Redness of the eye

       

      Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help.
